It was more than ok Richard - it was the best turnout for a pub ride in a long time - 14 wheelers!
Well - it all worked out OK in the end!
What about meeting at Silverwell at 6.55. You can park at the Chiverton Arms where we could have a pint before proceeding onto Mithian for a swift couple. Should give us a ride of nearly 5 miles there and back to the Chiverton Arms where we could have another 2 or 3 pints and from there drive responsibly home!
Planning on being at HQ at 6 as it's easy for me. Will be nice to meet along the way if that happens. Weather is looking good later so I'm looking forward to a dusky ride home.
OK - Devoran car park at 6 and Chacewater at 6.30 tomorrow eve: fine by me unless anyone wants to confuse things further?
Regarding next Sunday's Pathfinder - forecast looks OK so far and I am keeping an eye on the seaweed hanging outside! !0am start at Chacewater car park. Any further developments then I will let you know; so watch this space!
More like 6:30 at Chacewater Richard. Sorry about the confusion but I think the ride from Devoran to Mithian is easily manageable.
Let's discuss your idea at the next meeting? Pubs further afield. Like the Blue Anchor.............................
Just seen the weather forecast for tomorrow and itโs very likely going to be wet - so I suggest we leave St Mawes until a sunnier Sunday?
Short ride to Atlantic Cafe Portreath .......or Weatherspoons Perranporth if not toooo wet?
Sorry, ferry to Falmouth!!
Re: Mithian ride - I thought we had already agreed to start from Chacewater? If there is a 6pm start from Devoran Trail car park - then I guess you will pass thru' Chacewater at roughly 6.45. It is just that Chacewater is nearer to Mithian than Devoran unless you go via 'Dangerous X' etc. We need to avoid any confusion before next Weds!
I was planning on riding to St. Mawes on Sunday. Weather permitting of course.
Just seen Sonjia and she says she's coming to St Mawes on Sunday - any more takers? Ferry back to St Mawes if you don't fancy going the whole distance.
May miss this Sunday's ride - reverting to an 'anorak' and riding over to Par/St Blazey to see Clan Line.
Long ride next Sunday will be a not so long ride to St Mawes - by popular demand. 9 oโclock at HQ or 10 at the King Harry Ferry.
This Guestbook seems to be working well - better still if you renamed it "Message Board"!
Sounds good to me Robin as I have to be back in Falmouth for 1 I can catch the ferry home.
I normally avoid writing in guestbooks on account of my poor handwriting......
In the absence of a destination for tomorrow ( Adrian must be away! ) does anyone fancy a shortish ride - and at a gentle pace - to St Mawes tomorrow?
Still recovering from Bob Mansbridge ride!
