As most of you know already I'm attempting the hour record under VTTA rules for the age group 65-69. A date is now set - Tuesday 20th November at around 3pm at The Geraint Thomas National Velodrome Of Wales! We hope to be putting on transport for anyone who cares to come along and give support. I'll need it!

To everyone who was on the ride on Sunday, when we stopped at Hells' Mouth cafe to help a visitor to Cornwall, Cliff Martin, who came off his bike on the corner: We've had a very nice email from him, thanking everyone and especially Amanda for looking after him until the paramedics arrived. Luckily he wasn't seriously hurt, just bruised and scratched by brambles - 'a victim of my own poor bike handling'. He made it back to their motorhome for a late lunch, and is continuing with his Cornish holiday.

It has been suggested that whilst the Road Works continue along Bickland Water Road that we meet at Union Corner instead of our usual HQ for all rides. Does this sound like a sensible suggestion?
I'm not sure how long the Works are going on for, maybe someone is able to let us know.

A massive thanks to everyone who took part in this years Falmouth Carnival under what must be described as 'difficult conditions' to say the least. A special mention must go to Rhys, Adrian's grandson, Ben, Fred's grandson and Winn, Caroline's grandson who must have smiled the entire time and looked like they were enjoying every minute. Wheelers in the making and supporting the statement 'you never regret going',. Thanks also to Liz, Jo, Caroline, Fred and Adrian. I'm already thinking of what to do next year!!!

Don't forget that if you taking part in the carnival, or would like to take part, there is a meeting at my house this evening at 6.30. It's a fun event and a great showcase for the club.
