Just a reminder that the Pathfinder from Victoria Roche on Sunday 19th starts next to the petrol station the Bodmin side of the Roche turning and not at the Victoria Inn! R753

Sorry to peel off on Sunday's ride but I was not going to keep up! Drifted across to Brill then stopped at the Waymarker for coffee and toasted teacake - reasonably priced, I must be losing my 'marbles' but headed up through Halvarsehole again - twice in one ride! I then wandered off eventually calling at Stithians lake. This turned out to be a pleasant ride all round and doing 42 miles must show signs of improvement? One thing that I noticed was the increasing number of potholes - some really evil ones - one being so deep that I expected to see an engine house beside it! Cannot expect Cornwall Council to do anything about potholes as I am sure they have exhausted their funds on silly horticultural antics at Treluswell roundabout! R753

Many thanks to all involved in making today's Audax a great success. The weather didn't do its worst for which I was very grateful for. The spread back at base was again fantastic and such a welcome cup of tea. It's a fantastic route, thanks Phil, and shows our county off in its best Spring outfit. Thanks again

Good News! Today it became official - a stage of the Tour of Britain is definitely coming to Cornwall in September 2020. Described as 'the biggest sporting event ever to be held in Cornwall', the race will be starting in Penzance and finishing in Bodmin, with the exact route as yet undecided. It's expected to bring thousands of visitors and lots of revenue to the county. Dave Potter, who came to speak to us in January, was interviewed on Radio Cornwall following the announcement.

Yes, thanks Ian, it was a great day out despite the showers early on - but we never regret going!! ( It was The Blue Anchor Chris - not the Star!) Well done Vanessa, a truly brave effort - and Clare too, hopefully feeling happier about cycling in France very soon. Apologies to all for my occasional rants. I won't mention the B word on these pages. Fortunately something else distracted me this morning - please visit the Forum - maybe even give your own opinion - it's what it's there for!

A big thank you to all those Wheelers who spurred me on to complete today's Pathfinders ride. I wouldn't have made it if it hadn't been for your patience and encouragement. Many thanks. Vanessa
