Destination Perranuthnoe Sunday 1st June

Joe, Trevor, Liz, Paula, Jess, Barbara, Denise and Don Morris set of out through Budock, Argal crossroads, the scene of poor Amy’s Accident -glad she was ok and not badly hurt. Hopefully see her back in her bike soon.
The usual climb up Halvasso where Amy (? Ed) and Jess left us for other commitments. Jess was a new cyclists to Falmouth wheelers -hopefully will be out again soon.
On to Carnkie, through Porkellis, Nancegollan, Godolphin Cross, Millpool and Goldsithney, arriving at our destination to find a road race in progress. The cafe was not too busy; food ordered and not to long a wait. Beautiful sunny day after all the wind, rain, and cold of the previous Sundays.
Fed and watered we left amid a crowd of people and cars. one irate driver and his wife were not very pleasant and called Denise a “ Bitch”; Ops, and she said “how rude” and carried on cycling.
We regrouped and started off to find a different route home. Back through Goldsithney to Rellubus taking a left turn to Fradam at the cross roads, where saw some familiar cyclists so Don and Den chased them down the hill and caught Fred and Mike on a hill, After a quick chat, we waited for our group.
Turn on through Gwinear, Carnhell Green, Baripper, Troon, for a welcome stop for ice cream Yummy😁.
Then on to Carnmenellis Crane garage where Don left for Penryn. The rest of the group headed for Halvasso and home.
A great ride with lovely company 50 Miles for Don and 47 miles for the rest of us.
Don and Denise
