Roll up for the Magical mystery tour.

Tuesday evening my phone was a pinging the OGILs whattsapp group were giving it beans. TOP group and UC were filling up fast 6 being the Magic number. Wednesday morning arrived the shorts came out of the drawer and then replaced after looking at outside temperature gauge and reading forecast. Six of us met up at TOP joined by Phil3 who made it seven but kindly offered to join the UC group who were heading for Portreath. We had decided on Helston boating lake so off we went up Halvasso the two groups crossing and uncrossing chaos some might say it was like kids let out of school for a holiday. Eventually the groups split at the Carnkie junction and Ian rode point his favoured position, the mystery then began Porkellis – Wendron – Coverack Bridges – Chynhale – Nancegollan – Right fork towards Clowance woods – right turn Leedstown – Townsend – Godolphin cross – Sithney – Penventon Farm – Helston. Roads we hadn’t visited for a long time. The magic continued as we arrived at the boating lake to be confronted by giant Swans and a Flamingo and an absurd conversation with a Lady who thought we were pixies as we had shoe covers on, we had by then removed our large ears and turned up noses fortunately she didn’t give us away as pixies are not allowed into the café even for takeaway, she then confessed that she was a female pixie but had never flown, the conversation was getting weird even for me!! Dually refreshed we made our way back the usual OGIL route. Farewells said but no hugging I left before tears began to fall oh how we have missed riding together. We met jane on way back who said she had been out with three other ladies nice to see her. The cast for todays show were Simon long hair, Paul the shorts, Damien ladies bike rider, Adrian woodcutter, Ricky Tomlinson (ian) and your amazing chairman or is it chairperson who knows (answers in a prepaid envelope enclosing a £50.00 note)
Enjoy your riding Sunday HQ 9.00a.m for the next adventure.
