Congratulations

Congratulations to club member Martyn Aldis who last month was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by Cycling UK, the premier body representing the cycling community in the UK. Martyn Aldis was presented with the Certificate, and letter of thanks from the CEO of Cycling UK, by Chair, Kath Key, at the last monthly meeting at Wood Lane Social Club. In presenting the Certificate Kath noted that Martyn, who has been an active member of the club for more than ten years, has represented Cycling UK members in Cornwall for several years, contributing to responses on local and County wide road schemes in order to best promote cycling within the County. As a keen long distance cyclist, a passion he shares with his wife, Margaret, he also arranges several Audax events in Cornwall each year, popular with club members and cyclists from all over the Country. Kath concluded by saying that as usual, “behind every great man is a woman, in this case pedalling furiously”.
