It's there on the calendar. Severn Stars - Flushing. Was decided at the fox and hounds.
But I have been made aware of some confusion so it has been changed to the punchbowl.
See you in two weeks.
There appears to be some confusion as to where the Wednesday pub ride is going this week, not just the pub name but where was decided on last week.
The long ride is going east this week, so starting at The Norway Inn at 8:30 with Lostwithiel our cafe stop. Expect ride to between 70 and 80 miles but shorter for anyone not planning on continuing to Bodininnick ferry and Fowey. (23 miles by main road from Lostwithiel to Truro). All welcome but need to ride โAmanda paceโ. Ask Amanda if unsure!
REMINDER. It's only a week away from the Falmouth Carnival. We had a lot of response at the meeting and are hoping that many more will join us. No fancy dress, No silly costumes just yourself in full Wheelers regalia to promote what a brilliant club we are. Meet at the Falmouth Rugby Club at around 6.00p.m. There will be family entertainment on in the afternoon and of course a bar. See you there.
Mendips Sportive
Jan, Amanda and I completed the Mendips Sportive in a cracking time. Brilliant ride and well recommended. Full report to follow.
Thanks Chris - Stithians it is then. R
Sorry Richard. I changed the calendar but completely forgot the what's on in July post. Sorted now.
According to the calendar tomorrow's 'pub' ride is to the 7 Stars Stithians. Acc to What's on in July it is the Ship at Mawgan. Acc to Robin, well - it could be anywhere!. So, WHERE?

Wednesday pub ride. Last week saw a last minute change to the destination - from โThe Wheelโ at Tresillian to the โShipโ at Mawgan
(then later โThe Black Swanโ). After much consultation and discussion - and the use of various algorithms - the chosen pub this week is the โSeven Starsโ in Stithians. Possibly the โStagโ later to check on Richard!
Thereโs still time to book your place at the December House Party at the Merchants Manor Hotel on December 20th. Please let me know if youโd like you name added to the list and then arrange to get the ยฃ10 deposit to me on Sunday. ( or near enough)
Iโm confirming the numbers by the end of the week. Thanks.
Some of us - the more 'sedate' riders - really enjoyed our ride to Portreath on Sunday. The weather was near perfect, not too hot! Out via Halvar****le, Penmarth, Mawla, Dolcoath and Tuckingmill. We noticed how much easier going down Portreath Hill was than going up! We opted for the Tideline cafรฉ where the service was as usual very prompt with an added sense of humour from the staff. I have to say that my 'Full English' was probably the best ever! We returned up the valley to Redruth and then onwards and upwards to the top of Lanner Hill, then over and down to Penhalvean where I parted company for a coffee at Stithians Lake. Nice day out with the usual good company. Thanks all - R753
Many thanks Simon and team for yet another excellent M&M ride - I echo all that Kath said. R753
Many thanks to all involved in Sunday's Mines and Mineral Audax ride. It's a great route, lovely distance and Pasties and Cream Teas as refreshments. What's not to like. The weather this year was just about perfect too.

Please remember your ยฃ10 deposit for the Christmas do. Iโll be at the meeting on Thursday evening. December 20th at the Merchants Manor Hotel. Thanks.
There is now a gpx file for the ON-road Mines & Minerals. Email me if you need one.
Suggest some may want to meet at Devoran (trail car park) at 6 pm tomorrow for the pub ride to the Roseland Inn - instead of HQ. Ferries run on the hour and every twenty minutes - so you should make the 6:40 ferry ok.
Don't forget to get your entries for the Mines & Minerals to me by next Friday 21st June if you want to order food. I have to order the pasties that day.
Anyone riding up tomorrow? Leaving Norway Inn at 7:40.
Martyn - details of your Pathfinder on the website, but where? More to the point, where is Shell Woods? ta R753
