On a cold wet day you can’t beat a visit to Miss Molly’s Tea Room, situated in what was originally the Dolcoath Mine Count House, and more recently a Technical College. I say more recently but just to put that into perspective, Martyn went there for a while. It can be busy, especially on a Sunday morning, but service is excellent, as is the food, and the prices. Breakfast will cost you £5.95, a bacon sandwich, with “real” bread, £4.25 and an Americano £2.00. The cake, and, yes, that is just one slice, is made on the premises. For the OGIL this is often a two coffee stop. The Café shares its location with Domestic Resales, which describes itself as the largest secondhand furniture store in Cornwall, and you get the feeling that the dividing line between the two is imaginary, although I have yet to see a price tag on the cutlery.
