The next meeting of the club’s Rides Group is Monday 8th April at 6:15pm in the “Vicar’s Room” (the room right at the back), the Seven Stars, the Moor, Falmouth. We don’t have to pay for having exclusive use of the room for the evening so they will appreciate it if we buy a drink or two.
Here is the agenda. There has been a very good response from members with new ideas on how we can better organise our club rides. Views won’t always agree but there’s no harm in that. It should lead to a good discussion from which new plans may emerge. So do come along and put your views. Your views make this club.

4. Rides Organisation – format and plans to go forward
(a) Review of last 3 months; questions arising –

(c) Early starts – what’s the attraction? Does meeting at the same café work well? Is the ride still a shared experience? What if weather needs a change on the day at 9am?
5. Ride formats – groups of differing pace, or keep unchanged? Views and Suggestions;
(a) +12 mph, -12 mph, ebikes (Ian)
(b) 10-12mph, 12-13/14, 14+. (Danny’s email)
(c) Slow 10-11 mph 35-50miles, Social 11-12 45-55, Progressive 12-13 50-60 miles, ebikes group, Fast 13-16 +60 miles. Coordinator for each group. (Damien’s email).
(d) Group size – OGIL could split at weigh bridge before main road.
(e) Group discipline – riding closer together, keeping same pace, communicating more easily and better, mutual safety. Practice needed!
