Off to see the sunset

At union corner was Sylvia, new rider Dave, who could hardly be called an OGILLER, (neither can Sylvia) Phil, Helston Trevor and myself. We caught  Phil 3 and Mike up in Treverva and Keith and Paul were already there.  With a bit of fresh blood in the camp lots of new venues were being tossed around. It was finally decided that we would go to the Sunset Surf cafe at Gwithian.  This was nearly out of our comfort zone but we let Sylvia take the lead and off we went.  Right at Porkellis, and on to Hayle.  Back behind the lake, left at Lidl and straight on to the cafe. We did lose Phil 3 for a short while as he went to collect his water bottle from the cafe that he left it at last weekend- the one on the way to St.Ives.   What a superb cafe we had chosen.  The views were stunning, right across the flat calm sun blessed sea to St.Ives. The service was excellent and so were the prices considering the commanding views on offer.  Toasted Tea cake and a very nice cup of coffee for a fiver, pretty good but my reckoning.

The return journery was well known, Trevaskis Farm, Carnell Green etc.  Various folk peeled off along the way with just Sylvia and myself left to ride back to Falmouth together. A super ride, glorious weather and as usual excellent company.  A very decent 50 mile ride for me.
