What’s Happening in June?

Truro cycle club have a charity event, the David Bennett Memorial ride on Sunday 9th June from Shortlanesend Village Hall starting at 8.00 with 3 distances, 40,100 and 160k rides. £15.00 entry fee.

Mass Bike Ride, Saturday 8th June @ 4pm. Dean is looking to have 8 volunteer marshals on the day. 2 more Wheelers volunteered at the meeting.  A couple more would be useful.  Please contact Dean if you are able to help out.  Hi Vis will be available.

Bike week is 10th – 16th June.  Dean will be organising and promoting Falmouth Wheelers with a ‘ride with the club’ ride on Sunday 16th June.  It was noted that this clashes with our June Pathfinder which is on the same day.

The County Hall Conference on Cycling due to take place on 20th June has been Postponed due to the calling of the General Election.

Mines and Minerals Audax – Sunday 23rd June from Carharrack Village Hall. Both on road and off road rides are 50k. 10.00 am start. Pre entries necessary to ensure that you have food at the finish.  We are not sure if there are any entries on the day.

Raymond’s Memorial Ride will be on the evening of Friday 21st June to the Blue Anchor, Helston.  Riding from HQ at 6.pm

Coast and Clay  Cornwall Hospice Charity Ride – Sunday 30th June starting from Prideaux Place, Padstow. Entries close on Monday 24th June at Midday, Enter on line with various costs depending on which route you choose to do, 20, 45, 73 or 104 miles.

The June Pathfinder will be on Sunday June 16th from St.Erth railway station.  Parking is available at the station though there is a charge for parking. There may be on road parking available nearby. The Route is around 21 miles with hills and will be led by Jan.
