Post a Ride Report

Posting a Ride Report is very straight forward, particularly if (as many do) you’ve written the report “off-line” using your favourite word processor.

So having logged in and added your media from the ride to the media library, from the home screen click on “Post” on the left menu. If you have logged in on a mobile device you may need to click on the three horizontal lines top left of the screen to expose the menu.

Then click on “Add a New Post” on the left menu or the same within Posts itself

You then arrive at the part where you can add the title of your Ride Report followed by the images you previously uploaded into the Media Library where the latter will appear in the body of the post

Having added your images you can now add the text around them (or cut and paste in your pre-prepared text).

As with all posts, the most important thing is ensuring the post has the right category. You can post using multiple categories, indeed in this case you should use “Ride Reports” and “News” so your report also features in the main news feed of the site. Scroll down until you see “Categories” on the right hand side (or near the bottom on a mobile device) then click the “Ride Reports” and “News” tick boxes.  Make sure no other categories are ticked.

Not mandatory but definitely a nice to have is the “Featured Image”. This appears with the title in the news feed and list of Ride Reports. Again, scroll down until you see “Featured Image” on the right hand side (or near the bottom on a mobile device) then select the image from those you previously uploaded to the Media Library to be your featured image

When you are happy you have added all the images to your new post you can preview it, then when happy with the look and feel, click on “publish”!

Don’t panic if you publish then realise you’ve made a mistake. Simply go back to the home screen, click on “Post” where you’ll find you can edit your just published post.
