Dean: I think the Romans, on arriving in St Austell, would have thought 'what the hell is this place' and wouldn't have hung around! Today's Romans would be equally unimpressed with the current St A***hole!

Having feasted on 3 weeks of the Tour and been rewarded with a well earned and courageous victory by Chris Froome there is a chance to see more action at the Six Day London on October 18th-23rd at the Olympic Velodrome. Tickets available at sixday.com. nice trip for the Wheelers?

It's Culdrose Air day on Thursday 30th; Sonjia and I are riding over to the viewing area on the Gweek road - flying starts at 1pm. If anyone would like to join us, meet at Union Corner at 12 noon. In my last message, I mentioned 'killer' hills on the Bodmin Pathfinder. I should make it clear that Fred offered us two routes, and we chose to tackle the longer, hillier one. Please don't be put off coming on a Pathfinder ride because it sounds too difficult!

Pictures from the Pathfinder now in the photo gallery.

Great Pathfinder ride today - thanks again, Fred! Those killer hills were a bit challenging for some of us, but the company, the scenery on Bodmin Moor, and lunch stop at Jamaica Inn made it all worth it! A memorable ride.

If you want to beg, borrow or steal any articles or our pictures (as if) we will take it as a compliment. No, really, we will.
