The Pink Ladies Paris report is now in the Grand tours page. Minutes of July meeting in the members section.

Mightily impressive Dene and Robin with success for two very different ways to ride this monster. 1200km within the 90hr limit isn't dead easy anywhere but add stacks of ascent, remoteness, ferry trip uncertainties plus the dreaded Highland midge makes this a tough one even if the weather coin lands on its edge as in 2014. Not sure it was a good or a bad thing the TV cameras were there that time.

Although there were 2 serious accidents I safely got around the Ride London Surrey 100 in 5hrs 28mins. My brother Trevor met me at the end in the Mall and we attended a reception held by GOSH where we were fed and I received a post ride massage. We later met Chris at a nearby pub to rehydrate and go over our experience of the ride. Again thank you for support and donations and together we have raised over ã2000 for the hospital.

Just completed The Highlands and Glens 1200 in very difficult conditions - along with Dean ( Clarke not Evans ). Hardest ride to date. Dean first back after steady riding and little sleep. I was last but one with good sleep and plenty of beer. Awesome event but don't recommend it! ( Loch Awe is close by Richard ).

This is an interesting wed site I found for all things to do with Cycle Helmets, it's American but it does mention EU equipment also. The article on longevity of the foam is interesting. http://www.helmets.org/ Also posted on Facebook
