Dear All, I did intend to keep you informed of progress while doing the JOGLE ride recently but alas there was not much time left after cycling, eating and sleeping! I (and 2 colleagues) completed the 981 miles on Saturday 3rd Aug after 13 days of avoiding the worst of the rain and heat - we were very lucky and the weather was on our side for much of the way. I realised that I needed to step up the training a couple of months before setting off and cycling out with you guys, particularly for the Lands End 100, was a significant part of the preparation. I would therefore like to thank you all for your patience and support while I was building up the leg muscles and stamina and I'm looking forward to cycling with you all again very soon. happy to share info, routes, stories, photos etc with anyone else who is intending to do JOGLE. We found some very good B&B's along the way. Regards (Mawnan) Mike

Some LEL pictures now in Photo Gallery. Unfortunately Robin lost his camera, so we only have a few that Simon took.

Unfortunately the French trip has been cancelled, there are just not enough people certain of going.

Gill wants to do the Celtic Canter this weekend ( weather permitting) - so a further reminder to all the ladies who completed (and enjoyed?) Simons Mines and Minerals there is another manageable audax ride starting at Connor Downs on Sunday with wonderful scenery all the way!

Great ride on the LEL. Thanks to my FW pals for their incorrigible company. Lucky with the weather but it did reach 30 degrees+ on the last day. My stats (being checked by the man from L'Equipe)- no punctures, no mechanicals, sleep 13 hours, litres of water 40, pints of beer 2, whiskies 1, sprints 2 (for the village sign that had no pub, another on the blind side of you know who - result to be confirmed yet), languages attempted numerous, admirers of FW jersey 4, ghosts seen 1.....

If you want to beg, borrow or steal any articles or our pictures (as if) we will take it as a compliment. No, really, we will.
