There were not very many interested in the French trip at the meeting but if you are thinking about it and want to take the car you need to book by Tuesday to take advantage of the 4 day offer. If you want to take just bikes on the ferry you can book later. We are planning to go over Wednesday 15th April and come back on the Sunday morning.

Hi Jessie I commute to Treliske quite often and it may not be the safest but I go straight up and over Treluswell. Worst part is entering Perranaworthal at the start of the 30 mph zone with vehicles coming up behind at 60 mph! Next its up into Carnon Downs and past the Garden Center then later on right to Penwethers around the harpin to Highertown. Going home I head towards Chasewater and then left at dangerous crossing and down to Bissoe. Then through Suicide ally and left half way up Treluswell and up Hangman's hill

We ride our tandem into Truro fairly often and have found we get much more space on the main road section if we are using our powerful flashing rear light day or night. Truro Hill is the recommended route out of Penryn or you can enter the estate below Round Ring via the foot path but will have to walk a little bit.

Hi Jessie, when I worked at Treliske I cycled in from Flushing. Out to the main road, along by the Norway or through Perranwell depends how busy the main road is, along the Carnon valley then up the hill past Wheal Jane left at the top and then right down through Threemilestone, on to the main road in to Truro using cycle path if needed.

In addition to Yorkshire we are going to Ireland - again!! Irish Ferries are offering their annual 20% discounts so I will need to take deposits from everyone this next week. We plan to leave on the 9th May and will be away for just over a week. This is a very cheap holiday made cheaper by the weak Euro. If you have any questions see me after the meeting on Thursday.

Hello, would anyone be able to recommend a safe route from falmouth to Truro on bike please? Will be coming from Penryn direction heading to trelisk. Any suggested much appreciated. Have seen the post on hopeful dedicated cycle post which is good news. Thanks, Jessie
