Hill Climb – 12 September

Club Hill climb – Weir Hill (where Hilary and Parky live) on Wednesday
12th September at 6:30pm.  Leave HQ at 6pm as usual or make your own way there and park (considerately).  This is as usual an annual bit of fun so don’t be put off by the word “hill”. It’s quite short really and starts at sea level on a lane that usually has no cars.  Hilary will be providing drinks and sausage rolls afterwards.  There will be a different class for almost every member in the club so you could be a winner! Men and women, transgender, U18, under 40, under 50, under 60, under 70, over 69,  electric powered, steam powered, gas powered, wind powered but no nuclear powered.  Drink at the Lemon Arms afterwards so you will need lights for that.  See you there!

  1. Pathfinder on the Roseland….When you’ve tackled the Hill Climb, come and join us four days later on the September Pathfinder (Sunday 16th) – only 20 miles from ferry to ferry but with plenty of hills to enjoy!! so it would be perfect for all those electric bikes. We’ll meet at Trelissick at 1000, so anyone who wants a coffee can get one, and there’s plenty of parking, free if you’re a NT member, other wise £4. Then we’ll head down to the 1040 King Harry ferry, just 50p each way for cyclists, and follow the route which we took two years ago, stopping at Portscatho where there’s choice of lunch venues – the Plume of Feathers pub, the little take-away cafe on the seafront, or the pasty shop. A total distance from Falmouth of approximately 40 miles. See you there!
